Though summer is coming to an end, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any fun activities to do with your dog. Don’t miss out on these end of summer doggy events:
–Doggy Dash 2015: This is a fundraising 2 mile dog run/walk at Boulder Reservoir to raise money for the Boulder Valley Humane Society. After the run/walk there is a pancake breakfast, beer garden, and tons of vendors. Support a good cause and have fun with your dog all at the same time! Date: Saturday, September 12th. Times: 9:00am-11:00am
–Doggie Days of Summer at “TheBigWonderful”: If you haven’t been to TheBigWonderful this summer, then come on down for this day of fun for you and your dogs. This dog-centered weekend features entertainment by the SuperSonic Dog Teams, live music, local breweries, food trucks, and a fun mixture of crafts, unique and dog focused vendors. There are also going to be dogs and puppies up for adoption from local rescue groups. Free admission and parking available! Date: Saturday, September 12th. Times: 12:00pm-7:30pm
–Scott Carpenter Pool Dogs Days: This community pool closes to humans at the end of the summer and for two weeks opens its doors to the enjoyment of our pooches. Check out their website for times, and more information. Dates: September 14-27th
–Urban Dogg 1 Year Anniversary: Support local business by coming to Urban Dogg Broomfield’s one year anniversary. Check out tables by Primal, Anderson’s Natural Pet, Natural Balance, and Earthborn to learn about their products, get free samples and snag great sales. Also get great deals on Cycle Dog products. Date: Saturday, September 19th. Times: 11:00am-3:00pm.
–DogFest Denver: The Canine Companions DogFest Walk ‘n Roll is a community dog walk and festival held at the Sports Authority Field in Denver. Though this is its first year in Denver, this is an event that happens in cities around the US to support the mission of Canine Companions for Independence (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships). Date: Saturday, October 3rd. Times: 9:00am-12:00pm.
